As my Senior Exit project, I chose to design a Williams-Sonoma retail and event venue that focused on restoration and reuse. We were required to use the exterior footprint of an existing building in the Athens area. I chose the Tanner building because it closely related to the history of Williams-Sonoma. The Williams-Sonoma Retail & Event Venue would be great for the Athens area due to its strong culinary culture. The community also supports restoration of old buildings throughout the town. The venue would also be positive for the economy and new social experiences.
